How about a test forum? I'm sure that some of these HTML tags might be a little greek to some people. Having a test forum and maybe some parked examples of code might help. Plus I changed my avitar and wanted to see what it looked like. I'd feel kind of crummy replying to post for no good reason that to see my new personal pic.

If you screw up with HTML, simply edit your post until it looks right! This is not roadfly 
About the user icons, if you update it on the account page, they should immediately change on every page, including IMS. It might take a refresh in your browser though.
