I was wondering if any of our UK members fancied a meet at the classic and sports car show Cholmondly Castle in Cheshire 3rd September?
I went last year to have a look around and out of over 900 cars i found 1 E21!
its nomally £6 each to get in but if you turn up in a Pre 85 car you get in for 2 quid!

Sounds good, although Im now in Germany, and I think September is when I start to strip my British registered E21 for a complete rebuild.
Any objections if I were to bring my Porsche instead?

I think that would be great count me in. What about the Classic and Retro car show at Santa Pod. I went last year and I found 1 other E21. Also a good chance to blow some boy racers into the weeds down the strip.

Sorry for going a little off topic, but I've sent you an IM about a meeting in Holland, did you receive it?

Also the Kuhmo BMW's are at Silverstone on the 22nd April. I won't be going in the E21 but I'll probably go with my sister in her E36. I think that later on in the series we should show our support to Britains premier BMW race series. The full calender can be found here:

I'd love to but I'm pushing it enough with the wife going to Newquay for run to the sun without her, and I still hav'nt let her know that I'm going to the ring without her later in the year. I don't think a trip to Holland would go down very well. Have a good trip

Thanks! I stumbled across RTTS in 2004 purely by accident. I had just bought my air cooled Porsche Turbo and thought I'd drive down Devon way. To my suprise there was a massive tail back and lots of cheering, waves and people taking pics of my new pride and joy!

I'll be there for this - E30 Alpina though...

Was there two years ago in E21 though! Great show.

Ian, hope to see you (and my old car!) at Cholmondley; and elsewhere, such as Gaydon?

If we could get a few more of us to go to these shows we call all park together (but not in a gay way )

I'm planning on visiting as many classic shows as i can this summer, especially as my wife is leaning towards letting me get a 70's celica to add to the collection!
Just waiting on my front screen and i'm ready for the MOT.

I was on there last year. I will try and get on there again. Do you know any contact details for the guy running the BMWCC E21 register. It's not in the mag and I can't find it on the web site.

According to the club mag (back page), the E21 register is run by Iain Thomson - 07800 784151.

This Sunday 2nd July Classic and Retro car show. Santa Pod, Northants so its not very far from anybody in the UK. I'm going I'll probably be on the BMW car club stand why don't you all come and we'll have a load of E21's blasting down the strip (or pottering down the strip with my 114bhp). Here's the website www.classicsandretro.co.uk/index.html. Check it out for more info, and if you look carefully you will see my E21 on the site. Come on you know you want to

If it passes it's MOT, I will be there, I have got a pair of nasty Rikken tyres on the back that need to go!
Oh, and dave your BM is in the advert for santa pod in last month's Total BMW!

No probs. I just got back really good turn out. Five e21's in total, much better than the two last year. It's a really good show. Did you all know that there is a BMW only RWYB in September surely a few of us could get together for that.
