Hi,

Here's info about my M10:
Model E21
Type 316
Spec ECE
Steering Right
Transmission Manual
Engine type M10
Produced Apr 1980

From Jeroen's there are few valve clearances for the same model:

M10 in out(mm)
4 cyl. > 81 .15 .20
316 81> .20 .20

Should I use clearance of in/out of .15/.20mm?

I think pre-81 or 316 >81 is 1.5L M10, whereas post81 316 is 1.8L.. so 316 81> is really should have been 1.8L M10...

Am i talking to myself...

none right now :(
I adjust M10's to .08" thats assuming you have a stock cam, with a high lift cam, I use a slightly greater clearance, usually about .10"

I find that .08 works best for most M10 applications, any tighter than that and it starts getting too close with the risk of burning a valve
