I did. I wasn't, and still am not, happy with the fit of the aftermarket molded carpet. Check Walloth and Nesch as they had carpet sets that are BMW OE. |

You can also get the factory carpet in Anthracite or tan from the dealer at about $300-$350, a real bargain since the $285 a/m stuff doesn't fit well. The only holes to cut are for the front speakers, this stuff just falls in and looks incredible! I've bought 2 sets.

Dennis
Are the carpets still available? I tried to purchase a set in anthracite and they told me they are NLA. The parts man at our local dealership does not mind searching for parts for older BMWs and has even gotten me everything I have needed for my 323i so he is usually pretty accurate. If you have another source for them, let me know as maximillion can no longer get them.
Thanks

The carpet kits that are still available from the dealer are for e21's 9/80 and on productions in black and tan. All other carpet is NLA from BMW. |

Tony-
I got them from my local BMW dealer. If they enter the part # and check availability in Germany, it will show not in stock. BMW sources the carpet sets as needed and ships them as ordered.

any good auto apolistry company should be able to fit the car out with a proper fitting carpet, at least they can do a factory perfect job over here. dont forget the car has to be heated and moulded when fitting to get it perfect over wise you will get creases. |
