Drove 120 miles today to pick up a windscren from a guy who's breaking his 323.
Got there and found it had a stone-chip in it the size of my thumbnail!
So all i came home with was this pile of crap??

I think the all NEW hazard switch, fuel pump relay, roll bar bushes and used mirror covered my costs.
Still looking for a screen though...Doh!

Did you get the euro bumpers, or the interior seats?
Anyway some people Love that Alpina Front spoiler.

CJ.runs this on his 79 320i...

but I prefer the BBS front spoiler...
I was also so deperate for euro housings, for the clear MTS turn singals, that I found some housings on german ebay..

The bumpers were rusted out, indicator housings shot and the interior had gone.
Dont know if i should use the alpina spoiler or stick with my BBs one that i spent about 20 hours prepping and painting?

Let me know if you want to get rid of the Alpina spoiler.

Still looking for a BBS one. It won't be a priority until I'm ready for paint though.

It still seems like you did OK. Can you get new windshields in the UK? Not too long ago I priced one for my car and didn't find it too unreasonable. I feel like new glass is always the way to go- it makes an older car feel so much fresher!

I can get glass from W&N but i'm a scrooge and dont want to pay all the packing and carrige costs, it turns a €125 screen into a €210 screen.....but the way its looking i may have to get the credit card out!

you bastard, been trying to find a late model one for quite awhile seen a couple of early fronts pop up, but they arent the right one.

I need to replace the one ive got as the vehicle has been involved in a heavy front smash, actually cracked the gearbox it was that mashed up

managed to salvage the rear and the plastic guard extensions, but im not having much luck with the front

You don't fancy swapping that alpina front for a nice Zender one do you?

Oh, and just a thought, if you want some nice new glass, have you thought about insuring your car with Norwich Union Collectors Classic policy, then just have a small 'accident' with the windscreen. They send an nice man round in about 7 days with a brand spanking new windscreen and rubber seal kit (Chrome strip as well) and they will fit it for you for the rather reasonable rate of £50 (It doesn't affect your NCD either!)
Just a thought!

Sorry don't need a swap i will either keep my BBs or use the Alpina, whatever i will be offering one of them for sale.
Linwar have a bronze tint screen in stock for £95.00 so i suppose i will go this way.
Is this windscreen cover avialable to TPFT or only Fully Comp?
Thanks for all your advise and contacts jdench!
Ian

The Collectors Classic insurance is only available as Fully Comp, But mine is only £208 a year, with free glass, legal cover, EU cover and Breakdown assistance (Not that us e21 owners will ever use that! )
Just thought I would be cheeky and see if you wanted to swap. If anyone has the correct rear Zender spoiler to go with my front one, I was bidding on ebay, but some sod pipped me by £2 with 9 seconds to go and I couldn't get my bid in before the item ended

I must admit i have won many items on Ebay by waiting till the last seconds, but i am led to belive you can now download software that will bid for you on the last second exactly £2 above the current highest bid.

That explains why I lost out on some Recaros last week; £2 above my bid, 4 seconds to go!
