I take posession of a nice 81 Baur 323 next week and am starting to get to know the e21 world. My current DD is a 735 and there's an 86 535 TCD S2 turbo sitting next to it in the garage. Needless to say, I'm hooked on old BMW's and have had at least a dozen over the past few years, none newer than 1990.
I'm sure I'll be around a lot in the future! |

How far out of MNPLS are you? I am frequently there on biz and always like seeing another Baur. There are prob more Baur owners on this forum thean anywhere else in the world.

Great pics!!! I think I'm going to enjoy this car. I've already begun the procurement process for items I know it needs, namely some new canvas and a dash but there's a timing belt, cam eccentrics and a bunch of other stuff I just know it's going to to need.
I actually live about 160 miles N. of the Twin Cities, pretty much in a vacuum for anything BMW or sports car related. I have corresponded with Layton and Shawn D on several occasions but have not had the pleasure of meeting them face to face. I'm in the resort business and have little or no time to get away to the e28 functions but they seem like decent guys, knowlegable too!
I'll try and get some pics when the car arrives! |

Yes, Bruce's Baur always gets ooos and ahhhs. It is the standard to shoot for........and I fully intend to beat the cleanliness of his engine bay. I am even thinking of powder coating the brake lines.  |

Powdercoating the brakelines is something I missed doing. Wil Bryant's Baur is another to be seen. Very nice and a twin to mine.

I'll have pics as soon as it arrives. It's en route on a flatbed right now but the holidays screwed everything up. I'm told it'll be here next week but I'll put money it won't be here for at least another week or so after that. That's one disadvantage of living where I do.....nothing gets here quickly. |

Hiya Bill and welcome! I'm pretty close to Ricky here in Richfield. I DO pop my head in and outta here from time to time but mainly plop my butt in the bimmerforums web. Don't have a Baur but I'm turning the corner on restoring my '78 E21. Got the 2.0 down to the bare block and hope to have it all done and ready to go back in by mid-August since the $$$'s are trickling in pretty slow right now...
