Did anyone see the Road & Track article on home-made cars? One feller used his late e21 m10 to build one. I can scan in, but I imagine the fil would come out too large. |

I would love to see it as well. e21's are a great platform. Easy to put a full tube frame in, wide enough to fit just about any engine, light and the right size for just about any kind of racing. I personally love the body shape although it is an aerodynamic brick.
Can you PDF the article and email me?
Thanks |

The GT3 racer in Denver I got my clutch from is rebodying his 320i (it is just a tube frame, no real E21 left other than the engine) with an E46 carbon-fiber body. Should help the aero quite a bit for him. |

Ooops... it wasn't R%T. It was Car and Driver, August. I have a scan of it, but its 4.6 mb (2 separate images). I can email it to anyone, just shoot me your email through IMS (so its not exposed to the spam prowlers). But, i think your expectations may be a wee high. It seems they did NOT use an e21 chassis. |
