I was browsing the racing section of Home Depot and I saw these:

They are available in brass, aluminum, and plastic.
The cool thing is that they are adjustable for airflow!!

LOL!

Thanks for the tip on the BMW vents. They are a little too big though. I might use VW bug horn grilles.

Also what tires do you put on those 14x9 rims?
Thanks

Why not take the fenders into a place that stamps louvers?

Why fender vents? for cosmetics?

Or would they vent the brakes or enginebay? if so, how much of a difference is to be expected?

www.eastwoods.com sells metalworking tools that do the louvered indentations. There are certainly metalworking tools that will do this. I remember that the Mercedes of the era had stamped louvers on the fenders. They were simple horizontal cuts with the metal curled inwards. Nice, elegant, functional.

I also think that it is easier to manufacture your own, then to try to adapt two foreign systems. It is easier to take measurements of the fender and design FOR the fender, than to take measurements of two totally different geometries and try to make them coincide......... Curvatures, profiles, bends, ect.

take measurements of the curvatures and space you have to work with..........go to emachineshop.com, and design a simple vent for them to manufacture for you. Ken Danielson thinks they are expensive, and they are, but they have a free CAD software online that immidiatly gives you the cost and a 3D look of the piece.

They are very similar to BMW one's but they have more chrome on them around the edges. I brought them from ebay.
My tyres are 195/45 14's on the 14x8's on the front and 215/45 14's on the 14x9's on the back.
