New to the Baur game, I'd been told by several folks that rubber parts for the tops were not to be found and took them at their word for it. I mentioned this to the guy I get e28 parts from who calld "BS" on the whole thing and told me to watch for the UPS truck. Well, the UPS truck came today with a box full of new rubber seals for both tops.

Oddly enough, the parts guy at the dealership nearest me (one that I don't use too often) was one of those who told me these parts were absolulty not availible.

Perhaps others with Baur cars knew this already but I was pleasantly surprised to get hold of this stuff!!

He's going to shoot me for this but what the heck. It would be none other than Brian the Parts Pimp, otherwise known as Brian Scroggins at BMW of Chattanooga. His # is 1800/846-6269.

I'd suggest anyone needing goodies to give him a call soon since he's been promoted to a different area. Brian's a good guy and has always provided great service. He's well known in the e28 world for procuring all kinds of stuff none of the other dealers will even attempt to find.

Haygood's a great source for oddball motor stuff.
