This may seem an odd request, but my father owned a 323i, and instead of the olympic stripes down the side of the car he had a set on his that were the M badge colours, that started off about 1/4" thick at the front and ran to about an inch thick at the back. Does anyone have a picture of this, or does any one have a e21 with them, as I want to get a set made up for mine, but I would like the precise measurements so that I can get it right! I have grey olympic stripes on mine and I think they look crap, but I can't afford a set of alpina ones (and I don't really like them either)
Thanks in advance
John.

I've found plenty of parts I want on the parts "fiche" that are no longer available... Make sure OEMparts.com actually carries the part.

e9, e12x2, no E21?
Realoem.com doesn't sell anything, they've never made it to actually having a store. Call your local BMW dealer parts department (er, "spares counter") and ask them if it is still available.

Thanks sunbeam, but they are not the same as the ones on my fathers car, they started right at the front of the wings and came down the sides, wrapped around the bootlid and also were on the bottom lip of the front spoiler (a Zender one if I recall correctly) a la 2002 turbo. If I can find a picture I will post it, but it is definately different to the ones on realoem.com, they start half way down the front wings, but thanks a lot for looking anyway I am going to get my local signwriters to make me a set, and if any one likes them, I'm sure I could work out a deal with them to get some sets made for not much money. Will let you know.

These are the stripes I am referring to http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t19/Dr_Z_2007/323-pin-stripes.jpg

I knew I was still sane!

That picture jdench is referring to is my 323i. It's probably not the best light to see them in because from the right angle they look pretty good imho.

They're actually three separate stickers; red, blue and a sort of purple where they overlap. I dont think they're original, or meant to be but they're pretty effective at individualising my car a little bit.
