I wrote to Recaro and they said they no longer carry them.

Seat webbing is widely available. Foam is probably a DIY job, but with an old electric carving knife you can form foam pretty easily. There's a local foam supplier here in PDX that sells all kinds of upholstery foam, you probably have a similar supplier in your area.

Yeah, foam in rectangular form is available. the Recaro foam seems stiffer and shapped. |

I was looking for the very same thing. Googled and found this

Hope this helps. Not worth it for me as it would probably be cheaper to have it made here in Malaysia. Not critical at this point so have not been looking further.

I got several pieces of Recaro foam and trim in near-new condition a few years ago from a guy in Texas named Edgar Butler who parts out '02's, E21's and E30's on a regular basis - as far as I know he still advertises primarily in the bimmers.com classifieds.
His prices were reasonable and he seemed to be honest and aboveboard, but be forewarned - he can be slow, slow, SLOW to ship parts, and always seems to have a perfectly palusable excuse on hand..... |
