Hi guys,
does anyone have a right hand steering rack end? mine has worn out and i can't get a wheel allignment without a new one and without a wheel allignment i can't get new tyres and the tyres on my car on the replace mark...so HELP! I dont know whether this would effect it but it is a LHD euro spec. I would be happy to pay via paypal (prefer someone from Australia).

OH there was a reason for this being in the general forum area...my mechanic said this will stop the gitters around 80km/h. Anyone else had this experience before? |

Try http://www.eurocarparts.com.au/. They have stores in most states and should be able to help you out. |

gitters- e21 shimmy! It's normal, or at least somewhat common. It's often the result of steering rack mounting bushings or other loose components in the front end, like the swaybar to control arm bushings.
You might check and see if the rubber bushings that hold the steering rack are soggy and soaked with oil.
