not a big job just want to know which wire is which for the stereo...some f*@k broke into my car and ripped out my $400 cd/mp3 player  They made a real mess of the wiring job to get it out its looked like they used a chainsaw! |

Hey dude how are we going with that wiring diagram??? Does anyone have one??? I need to put a stereo in and also fix my passanger electric mirror...Diver's one work's but the passanger one's not.....(Right hand drive so it's the left mirror that's not opperating)

No I haven't yet, my Bimmer wreaker told me that it's most probably the motor inside the mirror and he'll sell me one for $30 (the whole mirror)....Pretty good.... |

I learnt from a different forum that you need to use a piano string or something similar to seperate the 2 sections (mirror glass to plastic/Metal backing)you need to sort of cut it off if you know what I mean??? Like get the string behind the glass but not the backing plate and cut from side to side....Apperently very hard shit to remove....I'm just changing the whole mirror, coz I can get a whole unit for $30 and it's garenteed to work (but not last)lol |

Why not buy the Haynes manual from your local book shop... they are available in Australia no problems at all. The one you want covers 6 cylinder e21s and e30s and has an orange cover.
In the Haynes there is a separate diagram specifically for the electric mirrors. If you get stuck send me a PM. |

oh that happend a few months back, i was very very very very &$*#ed off. they broke my lock too.
It was nothing my multimetre couldn't fix in the end. a good tip is: get a hanes manual its got every wireing diagram in detail... i could scan in some pages... |

Same as the '80-83 U.S. spec. 320i. As long as you have the small ignition control unit up on the left inner fender.
Some had the larger control unit and that is like E12 used.
