hey guys
i looked at a donar car yesterday and i did the usual compression test on each cyclinder, it is a 323i so it has the m20b23 engine, 5 cyclinders hav a compression of 175psi and the other 1 has only 100 psi. engine runs smooth, no smoke coming out so im wondering if this is still a good engine. the guy is checking all the valve clearences tomoz but if that doesnt fix it shud i still buy it??

having a deviation from cylinder to cylinder of over 10% is a bad sign- I'd steer clear.
