The last thing i wana do is buy em install them with full custom exhaust then find out that the stock headers are better an these ones rob HP |

Reading that these are for the eta and knowing that the eta is a low-revving engine, I would think these are probably tuned for that and might not be an improvement for a higher-revving M20. That's just what I think. |

primary tubes are short and very large- don't expect much in the way of pulse tuning. Also the primary diameter is probably much too large for a 2.3 liter engine.
Check out Stahl headers for legitimate gains and a true long tube header.

It's not all inclusive but it's a pretty good start on understanding them so you can have a clue on what makes a good header.

I've got a set very similiar to if not exactly these... I'm pleased with the performance. I haven't had a chance to tune the engine at all since installation. I've got the stock 323i motor. My seat-of-the-pants-meter feels like there was little (if any) increase in torque but a noticable increase in eagerness/and smoothness at high rpm. It may be wishful thinking after spending all the $$ and time. But I worked on BMW's for 7 years and have done alot of tuning so my ass-o'-meter has some cred... |
