I want to refurbish my master brake cylinder. How do I pull it apart to work on it? |

Don't do it. Get a rebuilt one. the bores of your current one are probably rusty and pitted. The new seals you put in will wear out in no time.
One area you don't want to cheap out on.
If you insist.....
I think there is a set screw which keeps the plunger from coming out or it's a C-clip/snap ring retention on the end that goes into the booster. Take that out and the plunger should shoot out (it is spring loaded).
Replace the seals, reassemble and bench bleed. |

Who sells the rebuilt ones. I fully agree that this isnt the place to go on the cheap.
Will any master cylinder work? From a 320i? any E30?
What should I look for........considering that I upgraded to the E21 323i rear trailing arms and brakes. |
