I got the VDO gauges installed and my oil temp seldom seems to top 160 degrees F... I do mostly freeway driving with no traffic and it is winter, but this seems low. is it possible I have a bad sender or too much resistance in my wiring or something? Sometimes if it idles for a long period it gets up to 180F or so... |

Mine run at between 80 degrees C and 120 degrees C (that is about 176 - 250) depending on how it is being driven normally it is about 90oC (194oF)
I hope this is normal |

Mine replaces the drain plug. I think it's getting cooled by airflow under the car. I have to figure out a way to insulate the sender or block the airflow...
