Hi guys, just a quick enqiry. Every time i turn my car on "on" the fuel gague measures the amount of fuel that is in the tank, okay, fine. But when i turn it over and i can hear the fuel pump pumping the gague drops a little. WHATS HAPPENING?!?
I filled the car up from a 1/4 (what the gague read when car is not turned over) and I put in 30 litres so i'm guessing that the gague is right when the car is not turned over and not pumping fuel... |

probably a bad electrical connection- there are a number of connections that can be cleaned, this may help. My boss said they used to use a pen eraser on the eletrical contacts for the instrument cluster.

You can get them, they usually have a soft bit on one end for pencil, then the other end is for ink, they have some sort of rubbing grit in them. What you want is a ink eraser. Art shops have them. They work really well for cleaning electrical contacts. |

For computers, I use a regular old pencil eraser. It has worked effectively (also effective in eliciting awkward looks from bystanders, like my brother). I imagine it cannot be much different to the leads in the car. Bottome line, try a pencil eraser first since you probably already have some laying around. Just be sure it's clean before you start!!!! |
