Doubt that it will work again. Need to get a really strong torx driver to tighten it all the way again. The thing was not working right anyway - it had too much gunk inside.
Could achieve a tight seal with the o-rings replaced and using some gasket sealant. As mentioned above, a strong torx driver is paramount.
Will try some time anyway. |

Yeah, I need to find a good torx attachment. I have this cheap socket/nut driver set and it has a torx attachment for the driver. I tried tightening with that, but all that I managed was to twist it. |

Good write-up. Seems to be similar to my thoughts too.
However, I do note that he has put the piston housing into the bottom section first. I would do it the opposite way to align the openings in the piston housing to the holes in the walls of the upper section. Besides, the o-rings have a tendency to pop off. Its better to pay close attention to the alignment with the top part, IMO.
When I opened up the distributor, there was a fair amount of gunk in it. Some of the nozzles were blocked. After a good clean, the nozzles are now clear. Ran some silicon spray via a thin nozzle extension through the nozzle instead of carb cleaner as I think it would be more gentle to the rubber fins on the inside of the nozzles.
The Porsche distributor is slightly different as it does not seem to have the little tapered screws in the third pic of my initial posting.
I have since replaced the O-rings that were there, except for those small tapered screws.
Cheers! |

Will try some time anyway. | first torx was too weak and it soon became stripped... second torx was too strong and snapped 2 screws
