HI

Rover cranks do not work, FWD and the nose is wrong.

Most uk breakers only sell complete engnes as they are current

post a request on http://www.partsgateway.co.uk/

Jason,
I have to lathe down the front of the crank for the timing sprocket and add a key way. The BMW crank is the same way. I believe the rover crank is useable, because... well, it has a BMW motor in it.

Thanks for the link.

Hi Nic

From my 318is days a guy here in the uk tried the rover crank and it did not work for him, he's pretty good aas he fab up a set of throttle bodies for the m42 from a s52 set.

Rover cranks will be less than £100

Bumping because I'm hooked on 2 liters.

Jason... Does your man still know how to machine the key way and turn down the crank for M42 use? I'd be really interested in a drop in, so that I don't have to experiment in the machine shop with a crank I had imported.

The royalmail.co.uk is saying it will cost close to 250 bucks just to ship it if the 20kg is correct. I could go weigh mine a the machine shop to make sure that's right. If it's gonna cost 250 bucks then I'll obviously not want to pay much for the crank.

I've had the headlights on for almost a year now

Bad enough to contemplate buying custom rods to make it work. I already purchased low compression pistons for the 1.8 liter crank.
