Hi all, Does it matter what brand of sway bar bushings i get for my aftermarket swaybar. If the swaybar is 28mm front, can i just buy 28mm ST sway bar bushing set and put it on?

Also, what change on performace would i get by putting a 28mm sway bar on the front of my 323i 1982?

Sway bar itself, yes, they are just D bushes, doesnt even matter what car they came from as long as the diameter is correct.

Sway bar to control arm (lower control arm bushes), no, thats a different story. Later model ones are a 1 piece bush, hourglass shape designed to fit the arm. Early model ones are a 2 piece which go in each side.

Might find it understeers even more, especially if the rest of your suspension isnt up to the task. So a 28mm bar might not be a good idea.
