I was running too rich and it caused this problem. I leaned it out and now I rev to over 6000rpm, I just feel nervous about doing it.

wrong rotor button perhaps, check the resistance values across the contact points of both of them. There are different buttons out there which have different resistance values it seems, there was a thread before on jeroens forum. If you use the wrong button, people have reported it wont rev out just like you describe.

that screw controls idle, its simply to move the position of the butterfly. Mixture control is set at the distributor and you will need a exhaust gas probe to give you co and nox readings when you make any adjustments.

You could screw about with the mixture screw on the distributor and improve things, but if you want to do it properly and actually know what you are doing, you need to monitor exhaust gas. If you want to do it all properly you need pressure gauges to monitor vacuum and fuel pressure when altering things.

i think its definatly a fuel issue, car is starting to smell like gas way to often, and when i have a full tank i can rev much higher,,,,, i will change the oring on the intank sender first!

If the car revs higher with a full tank then I would suspect that your intank pump is going out or maybe a fuel line leak to the main fuel pump.

I suppose your main pump could also be the culprit if it's ailing. Is it noisy? That's usually a sign that it's on its way out.

When my old pump went bad the motor would miss above 5500 rpm because the pump couldn't flow enough fuel to feed it.

I tuned my car by ear and feel. It's not difficult to get an excellent running car without any tools other than an allen wrench.

my first one only went to 4500, i wrote it off before i had a chance to fix it, but very knowy friend of mine said most likely fuel pump issue.

YOu might want to double check the wire that goes to the coil from the distributor. IT could be loose.
