General Forum : water marked paint

Post nr. 2	Can anyone offer advice?. I put a car cover on my 320 while the car was damp. 2 days later I took the cover off to find 4 massive water marks in the paint on the boot lid where the cover had contacted the paint surface. It looks like the colour has been bleached out.How can you get the marks out?.

Post nr. 147	Are you base/clearcoat or single part? Regardless, you ought to be able to buff it out. Base/clear is tricky since you risk cutting through to the base coat and it'll look stupid until you reclear the whole area. Do a little bit at a time with a not-too-aggressive compound and you might just be alright. Ask me how I know!!
