I looked at this 323i yesterday. I forgot to take pictures, but I've never seen a front fascia like this before. Any ideas?

That looks like the fiberglass front spoiler for the e21 that was offered by BMP. It has the horizontal bars from each opening removed which accounts for the body putty on the sides of each opening. Someone told me that the BMP spoiler was a copy of the Hartage spoiler. I have the same spoiler but it still has the bars across the openings. I used mine to make a fiberglass mold but have since sold the mold to some guy who makes fiberglass parts.

Hmmm.. Okay, that would make sense. Is there anyway you could post a picture of the production tag? I think it may be a Hartge Spoiler, but like you said, with the horizontal fins removed.

I think the Hartge spoiler was a bumper replacement type....not and under bumper skirt.

Hartge cars had a chrome bumper ontop of the front bar, dunno if the chrome bumper bar was attached to the Hartge piece or not though...

That would explain a lot then, since we were having a bear of a time getting it to fit to the front. We kinda half-assed it just so I could get an idea. But now that you say it replaces the whole front fascia, it puts the pieces of the puzzle together.

I think that the picture is the Hartge spoiler with the bars taken out. The motorsport spoiler is the one where the chrome bumper needs to be taken off. Check out this site's registry. We have two members with the Hartge spoiler mounted.
