OK....got the entire AC reconditioned for $300.00. All new hoses, dryer, compressor, ect....
Putting it back together seems complicated. |

what part is complicated? the diagrams pretty much spell it out, in mine the most annoying part was removing the radiator to get through to the condenser. |

Only real issue I can remember from reassembling the a/c on my US spec 320 was getting all the rattles and "buzzes" out - on 4 cylinder cars, there's one particular spot around 3,000 rpm where it seems like EVERYTHING wants to vibrate.
I wound up adding at least a half dozen of those "P" shaped, rubber insulated tube mounts in various places to stop the hard lines from vibrating and making noise, and there were several spots in and around the console and glove box where the various plastic cover panels needed additional mounting screws to quell rattles and buzzes as well. |
