OK, so I have the 2.7 stroker set up.

What K&N air filter do I need?

Get the K&N replacement panel filter, the induction kits are not worth the money, they suck air in from the engine bay, that is hot so you get less power.

This is a conversion from a 320/6.......so I dont have a stock air filter for an injection.

How to get cold air into the intake then? i dont want to suck it in from down below because of the frequent flooding that Miami streets suffer. I dont want a cheesy hoodscoop.

There should be 2 air intake ports on the front of the engine bay on the right. U and tap the air from there.

How would you go from those holes to a filter? Which filter? I guess it would have to be inline so it sucks air only from the ports....and not the sorrounding hot air from the engine bay? Any ideas?

On the 323, the air filter is a panel filter that sits in the airbox which fits in between the battery and the fuel distributer, this has a guided air hose that goes in between the two left hand headlights, if I can find a picture I will post one for you. This ensures the air intake is nice and high so you don't swallow any water.

It would appear that his being a 2.7 stroked setup maybe different to the "standard" setup up?

Maybe MayanArch can up load his setup so that we can have a better idea instead of jumping the guns so to speak.

I will get pics of that part of the engine bay.

That said, the battery has been relocated to the trunk. The Mass Air Sensor has been removed and I am using some electronic piece recommended by Ray. I have an Alpina front spoiler....but I dont think that gets in the way of what you guys are talking about.
