short answer... YES!

longer answer - you will need to play around a little with the connectors for your wires, and I used an e30 alternator bracket for adjustment. the bracket on the block for the bottom is a perfect fit.

it is an easy bolt in, and you get a more powerful alternator to boot... 80 amps vs 65 in the e21.

what about the probability that its the voltage regulator and not the alternator? do the alternators usualy go bad, or is it the voltage regulator more likely?
