Just curious, but why do you still use the E21 323i intake manifold when the head is 885?

I may be wrong but I think you have to use the E21 manifold if you are going to run K-jet, which is what he is doing.

Totally not always the case. My car has 885 head with 2.7 block and has E30 325i intake manifold because it matches the inlet ports of the 885 head. And yet I still retain the K-Jet. In fact my throttle body is 325i's and the intake rubber boot fits the TB. By the way your car is great!

I knew there was a strong possibility that I would be wrong! ; )

Hi. I stumbled onto this E21 website and am already hooked on it. This is the best source of E21 info on the web that I've found.
Regarding the intake manifold, the car already had 885 head with the original manifold when I bought it. I didn't even know that an E30 manifold could be used with K-Jet. Now I've got another future modification I can plan on.
I plan on uploading newer pics of the car soon.

Hi Trey. You're right if you're looking for E21 technical information, this web site is the best one as far as I can tell you. The other is forums.bimmerforums.com.

And yes the manifold and throttle body is an easy swap. Need an inlet-port gasket though. As said earlier, the E30 TB will fit K-Jet intake boot no problem.

The E30 325i manifold will flow better as it matches the 885 head.

You can also swap the Motronic 1.3 as you have 885 head and E30 block already, just a thought.

Ah yes, I forgot. You have one of the rarest E21 air dams, the Motorsport front spoiler. Put a set of good quality lowering springs and shocks (Eibach/H&R and Bilstein) and it will greatly transform your car.

And a set of 15" or 16" wheels and you are pretty much set.

Well, I finally uploaded newer pics.
However, it now looks like I'm going to have to sell the car because of a divorce. It has been my project car and a 2nd driver, but I have to cut down to one car. I could probably make more money parting it out, but I don't have the time and I would rather it go to a carig buyer than to tear it apart.
I'm thinking of putting it on ebay. Does anyone have a suggestion on the best way to sell an e21?

Hi, i see in your engine bay picture you're using a different kind of spark wires, what brand/type are they? I'm interested in purchasing a set like yours to give a try rather than getting another OEM set.

Those wires look just like the set I bought from BMP Design.

Yep, you're right. The plug wires are from BMP.

Holy cow! 3.91 rear and a CR 5spd? What kind of revs does it turn on the highway with that combo?

Car looks great, by the way. I saw it when Keith had it for sale, and it looks like you've really done right by it.

kool, thanks heaps guys, BTW those wheels look hot. I've been after a set of those for a while as they're a little difficult to find, but i suppose with a little more luck ill find them.
