E21 headlight bucket / grill conversion kits (7" round outer / 5.75" round innner) come up for sale anywhere in the last few months? Curious as to whether there are any around and what they're selling for in decent condtion.... |

Have looked on the W&N web site a couple of times and didn't find a listing - tried to download the PDF version of the complete E21 catalog to look there, but the registration form refuses to accept a US phone number.......
Follow up - turns out the problem with downloading the catalog was hyphens in the phone # (needs to be all digits - no spaces or dashes). First pass throught the catalog still didn't turn up the Hella light sets - any additional info as to where to look in the W&N catalog would be much appreciated..... |

I found mine on Ebay UK after a long search. I was never able to come up with any from Walloth. If memory serves, they had them listed but no longer carried them.
FWIW, the high beam lights are NLA. A very close fit is are the high beams from a MK 1/2 Golf. With a few slight mods they will fit.

I have a Big/Small Hella Grill + 7" H4 Lights + High Beams from a VW that would need a few modifications to fit into the Grill. Please contact me if you are interested.
The 5" highbeams are NLA from Hella.
I have one set on my car and I just sold another set.

Thanks for the offer on the VW based units - I may take you up on it...
Just to satisfy my curiousity, I think I'll do a bit of research at Pick & Pull, too - since there are almost always multiple E21s and lots of VW's in the yard, I'll see if it would work to cut the outer bucket off a stock E21 double headlight bucket and replace it with a VW 7" bucket. Cracked or broken late 2002 plastic grills aren't that hard to come by, so a pair of '02 grills should work for the black plastic 7" bezels. |

I've also seen the 7" grills from an 02 or 316 and aftermarket 5" high beams mounted to the topside of the bumper. It'll give the same look. |
