WHat happens to neglegted Urethane bushings? do they screw themselves up overtime if you dont grease them regularly? or do they just squeak alot?

Also, does anyone make a points to electronic ignition kit for an m20 323i?

I was thinking about that, but i didnt know what to call the kit. THe kits they make for the 320i then would be useless for a 323i?

What about poly urethane bushings? Im thinking about this in case someone else has my car in the future and neglects to grease them, will the wear themselves out without grease?

There is a company in the UK that makes upgraded bushings for the e21. Superflex I think?

thanks for the link! im more interested in their long term sustainability though. What happens if you never grease them?
Is the only thing that happens that the squeak alot?

OR

Do they grind themselves into nothing?

The good ones squeek and crappy ones crumble away with or without lube.

Superflex makes good stuff. I had "Grunt's" highend bushings on my 745 and they didn't hold up.

These are what i bought, and since their such a pain to change, i only want to have to do it once. Are they good quality?

not something i want to cross my fingers on
