What is the ideal air/fuel mix in an M20?
If you could hook up a wide band meter to your engine.....what mixture is ideal, and at what points? |

Googled it and they say 14.7:1........
Is that an optimum number for combustion that should be reached for throughout the RPM range??
What is stoich? |

14.7 is a best compromise between fuel consumption, torque, and emissions, particularly for catalytic converter equipped cars. The best ratio for torque is around 12.5:1.
I think EFI setups generally aim for 14.7:1, except at WOT where it lets it run a little richer for greater power and detonation resistance. |
