replaced my sagging recaros with stock porsche seats out of an older 928. i just swapped the rails and everything lined up perfectly! They sit a bit higher than the recaros, but i can't especially tell because mine were saggy...maybe they are about as high as the stock seats would.
i found this to be the cheapest/easiest option out there. |

They are not recaro sport seats, but...I read somewhere that porsche acquired recaro in the 60s and got them to make their stock seats, along with recaro sport seats for some models. Judging by the similarity between the e21 recaro seats and the porsche stock seats, i would think this to be true. Both even used identical 5mm allen bolts to hold the rails on.
The seats I bought on ebay were out of a 1983 928. here's a pic:

The Recaro seats from a 6 series work as well, just unbolt the runners from the e24 and put your e21 runners on. |
