The springs WILL interchange as in fit correctly but the 323i springs are slightly stiffer. So, if you put in 4 cyl springs it will likely sit slightly lower and may not handle as well. If you install 4 cylinder performance springs like Eibach, H&R or similar you should be fine.

4 or 6 cylinders engines - the springs are interchangeable (same diameter) - but those ones for the cars equipped with 6 cylinder engines are stiffer - I've put factory front springs from my 320/6 on my dad's 316, but after that the front of the 316 was higher than the front of the 320/6 with the same springs. |
