This site has been slowly dying in activity. I just read that post that there are a lot of new users trying to get on, but cant.

I would be happy to help with the administration....if that is alright by you, Tri.

Rising gas prices? - Slow economy, less money for parts?

Forums go in cycles and this one HAS been pretty slow lately with only "little" questions and no technical "debate" like a year or so ago... Hopefully it will pick up soon.

Just be glad it's not as bad as the Pelican Parts early BMW forum-no posts since May...

this is partially a response to the other post with new members complaining that they cant get on because their applications dont get approved.

My E21 has been out of state...kinda make it less fun to read about and post about E21's.

There used to be a lot of regulars here. I wonder where everyone else went?

I notice the same thing on Ebay right now, no parts for e21s relative to a year ago

Well, redmist was selling his ls1 project a while back. Maybe a month ago now?

Yes RedMist sold his car.
Tricord graduated college, Ray put his ALPINA away in storage, and I am still working on my 323i.

Some guys are now or Bimmeforums in the e21 section, however I miss the old days of this forum.

It sure was fun.

I am not sure if rising gas prices are what is the problem with the site being dead.

It's true that new members might have troubles signing up. I remember at one point, spambots increasingly creating new accounts and posting spam (or adult-content) here in the forums. Nic and myself had to check 10x a day to keep it clean, so I decided to lock down signing up.

If anyone wants an account, I can process the signup manually.

Other than that, yeah I've been pretty busy. I'm a working man now, and I haven't much time to spare for my cars. I still race about 4 track days a year, and I just bought a 323i Baur in excellent condition for some weekend cruising

But I admit the site used to be more frequented than right now, and it's partly due to lack of support on my side.

I'll do my best to hang out more often around here!

Mayan, if you want to help out with Admin, that would be great! You've a long history on this site so I trust you to be a good moderator! Send me an IMS and I can give you tools to liven up the site!

Did you see this Baur for sale over on BF?

Anyone here?
