Tech Forum : HELP! DOOR PROBLEMS!

Member Post nr. 304 California 323i 1982	The driver door wouldnt open all weekend. I just got home, took off the interior panel, and was able to fiddle it open. once open, i pulled really hard on the doorknob(intirior) and made something snap/click loudly. now it wont close. it will half close but it wont stay shut right. if i put the key in and move it back and forth it lightly clicks but doesnt move anything. if i try to move the interior door knob/handle it doesnt move at all. if any more info would help let me know - but i am lost as to what to do. I dont feel any broken springs, loose springs, loose bolts, and there are no parts sitting at the bottom of the door. please help!
