anybody ever heard of this? you put a switch on the starter to turn over the camshaft i think? How is this done?

'82 320is, '78 320i
The starter switch just connects to the starter solenoid to allow you to bump over the engine from the engine bay. I just pull the plugs on my m10s and grab the crank pulley and fan belt, they turn pretty easily, the m20 should not be much harder to turn.
