Chaps, I am trying to remove my steering rod (I believe that is what it is called). Between the bulkhead and the steering rack. I have prized the bulk head end off but the steering rack end is stuck fast.
Any ideas how I can shift it?
The bolt has been removed (it was'nt there anyway).
Cheers

I think i used pb blaster and let it soak for a while-much harder to put it back on again!
I also think i used a chisel and a hammer if i remember right, and didnt have an inch of my arms not cut up when i was done.
jack the car up as high as you can, put some thick cardboard underneath you and get comfortable.
good luck |

You are the man
After several weeks of planning and discussion I got under the car and hit it, and guess what 2 minutes later it is in my hand.
Thanks again

Not got that far yet, I have a mod to carry out on it before I replace it. Hopefully get it back from the machinist by the end of next week.
Thanks again for the help |
