I have rust starting at the base of my rear side windows and want to remove the trim and windows to treat the rust before it takes over. How do I go about this? Will I need to replace the rubber trim and chrome strips if I go for it? Can you even get replacement trim? Any ideas. |

If your careful with the rubber strips and they are not too knackered then they should be OK to reuse. But it's best to use new ones as the rubber ages and tends to go hard. Walloth & Nesch probably have replacement rubbers and chrome trim, but they can be expensive. www.wallothnesch.com |

Good info, but how the heck do you get them off? Does it take a special tool? |

Choose a nice warm day and the rubber is easier to get out, if it's cold it is almost impossible to get them out. If you start in the middle of a section and work towards the corner. Grab hold and pull! If you have got new ones then just cut them and pull the old ones off. |
