OK, I am told I bought a dash that is meant to have the glovebox with the key mechanism that is separate from the latch. However, I also put in a lot of retoration time with the glovebox I bought...which has the key mechanism on the latch.
How can I make this work?
Does anyone have a good glovebox to make it work?

I have not ever seen a lock for the glovebox that was not part of the latch.
There was/is a latch without a lock.
you can't change the stricker?
