This has probably a very simple answer, but since I never adressed anything like this I don't know
The windows on my 320/6 are damn hard to close once they've been opened. I always have to help pushing them up with my free hand in order not to strain the lifting mechanism too much.
However, the 323i has silk smooth window operation, so I figured this should be possible on the 320/6 as well. Do I need to apply some kind of grease somewhere? Any ideas?
Thanks |

you can adjust the tracks for the windows on the inside of the door. I'd suggest doing that.... do they both become difficult to bring up, or just one side? |

I think both windows are difficult, but I don't really know about the passenger side since I didn't put the window handle back
I'll have to open my door again to fix certain things anyway, so I'll see what I can find. If I have more problems once I open it up, I'll post about it here. Thanks for the reply! |

On 1979 e12 we had to lube the rails and gear after cleaning the 20year old gunk out with brake cleaner. Of course these were electric windows but they had the same behavior. |
