I will be needing an engine stand for my 323i engine. I thought I would easily find one locally, but it turns out nobody has those.
Any suggestions for cheap stands available online? |

What about the UK based mail order outfits? The ones who advertise in TOTAL BMW?

Stands are cheap here in the states, but again, you get what you pay for. They most likely don't have a "Summit Racing" in europe (big muscle car catalog). But something similar might be a good place to start. You also might want to go to a local repair shop and see if they are interested in getting a new one (stating that you'll be happy to purchase the old). Be careful though. Tools in repair shops take quite a beating, and engine stands are no exception. At the shop that Jake works at (Toyota) they put an FJ40 land cruiser inline six on a less than strong engine stand. IT wasn't pretty. Those land cruiser motors are HUGE. |

Well the 323i motor isn't very huge, but I'd rather not rebuild it on a piece of plywood, if you take my meaning
I found an engine hoist I could use from a mechanic friend, I'm going to pick it up monday or tuesday evening. |
