Description
I recently purchased this car to add to my small collection, despite learning about it\'s existance nearly 4 years ago. It was discovered in a Volvo wrecking yard, and sat there for 4 years until I brought it home. It was covered in mold, and moss, but in otherwise great shape. It is almost completely rust free, and shows only 134000 miles on the odo. I purchased it for only $425 Canadian, which is a great deal in my eyes.

The car is equipped with power antenna, bronzed glass, dog leg 5 speed, and a sunroof. The 13x6\" BBS/Mahle wheels were added by me, as was the 3 spoke E21 sport wheel. The car is currently stock, but missing it\'s engine. My plan is to restore it to original condition, but I will be changing the colour from Safaribeige, to Kastanienrot, and adding Recaro seats. I recently located a complete 2.3L M20 for it, so the powerplant will remain correct to the model.

Modifications and tuning
No modifications are planned beyond adding parts that were available as options originally. Recaro interior, BBS wheels, 3 spoke steering wheel, LSD, and the dog leg 5 speed that is already installed.

History
Beyond that last 4 years where it sat in a wrecking yard, I have no idea. If anyone knows where I might be able to find out more, please let me know. The PO believes it came from Ireland, and I have also found evidence that it spent some time in England. The car now resides in Surrey, BC, Canada. It\'s stablemates include my 76 2002, and my 85 535i, as well as a 67 1600, and a a 73 2002 that belong to my clients. This 323i is in a proper home now.
