History
Car was sold by Janssen BMW of Wolfsburg on April 24, 1980. I have dealer service records through August 19, 1983, when the 127,500km service was performed with actual mileage of 125,815km. Based on the trail created by the receipts, it appears the car was imported to California in 1984. However, I have receipts from Horizon SA BMW Concessionaire in Paris from March 26 1985, and from Hamburg BMW from December 3 1986. Perhaps the owner traveled in Europe and bought parts while there to save some money. The car is now titled as a 1981 model, somewhere along the line the model year was changed, although the VIN is correct. I will probably not attempt to correct this, as the title now does not identify it as a \"gray market\" car, so I don\'t need the EPA/DOT releases. |
