That's the problem with buying someone elses work, I wonder what else hasn't been engineered properly. And standard cams? Recipe for blow through during overlap? My E21 is probably of similar power output and achieves over 30 mpg on long runs. In Theory, power output-for-power output a Boosted smaller capacity engine should always be more economical than a larger capacity NA engine.
