Oops... scratch that. It's the same car. The good news... the price is dropping. Good thing I'm broke.

Stick with it mate. I did when I was a student.
At one time my insurance premium for the 323i shot up and I was even considering selling it to get an Alfa 75 1.8 or 2 litre twin spark or a BMW 1602!
Thank heavens I never did!

yeah i understand mate. I'm on $200 per week, thats really nothing when you work 25-30 hours and try to go to school!

i was thinking about selling mine, but i'm not now either.

to Marquis_Rex: there is nothing wrong with an alfa or a '02..they and the e21, happen to be my favourite cars! I plan to keep my beema now untill i can afford restore (and Daily-Drive) a Alfa Giuetta

Nothing wrong with old Alfas at all, especially in your part of the world where rust probably isn't such an issue, but not a weedy engined 1.8 litre or a 1.6 litre 4 cylinder "02.

I later bought a 3 litre V6 Alfa 75 along SIDE my E21. Boy that was an experience.

Check out my post here on the first page if you want to know why!

so here we have three aussie students with e21's struggling to afford them. but my god isnt it worth it. im not sure buying a BMW for my first car was a wise choice as having driven many other cars i dont think i could ever settle for anything less than a beamer. looks like im gonna be broke for a long time to come....

i tell you what the e21 is bloody lucky its so fun to drive and look at because there isnt too much else that would be worth the struggle.

wait till you guys hit fuel or ignition problems, if you thought e21 parts were expensive you will enter a new stratosphere if those problems plague you.

Arent many decent examples left in the world, let alone in australia, they are definately getting few and far between.
