Yet another crappy photo of what's turned out to be an everyday paint job run amok.

I'd classify it as a very solid #2 at this point and it may hit a #1 job after we do yet another sand/buff job once everything is in place. This is the result of virtually hundreds of combined hours of work since we got rolling on it right before Thanksgiving.

I've not started on panel fitment yet so forgive the gaps. I just got the hood back on and the latch adjusted, a seemingly easy job that took 3 hours!

A few guys have asked what I have into the job. So far with paint, supplies and paying Ron to do the tricky stuff I have about $2500 into it. To have this kind of job done in a competant shop would have easily run 8k, probably more. We went completely nuts on it and there's no doubt this calibur of a job would have been ugly on the wallet.

I'm expecting to spend a lot of time dealing with the various body gaps, then it's time to trim it out and address the rest of the mechanical issues.

I'm very, very pleased to have this phase done with

I'm not going to venture how long it will be before it's done. It'll be at least a month, probably more like 2 or 3. There's still a lot of work to do.

The shop is "L" shaped and fits 3 vehicles. The L portion is where the work area is and the car was painted in the main part, then moved to where it is now.
